Isadora L. Romero is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and for the past nine years has been with the Office of the Los Angeles County Public Defender. She has provided forensic mitigation in both the juvenile services and misdemeanor trial divisions. Currently, she is with the AB109 Public Safety Realignment Unit, where she works with clients that may be transient, have a severe mental illness, and/or substance use issues. With more than two decades of experience, her work has traversed from South Central Los Angeles to the South Bronx in New York City. Her focus has been on adult/adolescent health equity, culturally responsive practice, trauma informed care, holistic advocacy, and social justice. Isadora earned her Bachelor of Arts in Chicano/a Studies and Women’s Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her Masters in Social Work from Columbia University.
